What Do All Singers Need?

We love singing – whatever the frustrations of the day, when we sing together they seem to fade away as we make the most wonderful music. We all look forward to our rehearsals, to learning from our illustrious musical director and having fun in the process.  But as our recent rehearsal started there was something not quite right. We had started our warm up, and started to practise the first piece, but there was a palpable concern rising in the membership. The person responsible for bringing the tea and biscuits, had not arrived! If there was no tea, and no biscuits, would we even have a break? Not only do we enjoy singing, but we like a good chat at break with a cup of tea and a biscuit. So, when the door opened and the bearer of the refreshments arrived after all, everyone gave a huge cheer. Of course, we were pleased to see another choir member….but we were also really pleased to see that we weren’t going to miss out on our proper break. Since Nomine Singers isn’t just about the music – we have fun and get chance to have a good chat too. And the surprise that rehearsal evening? There were Tunnock’s Teacakes to have with the tea!
