My Heart is Inditing

Comments Off on My Heart is Inditing

At our concert on 18th March, we will be singing the Handel anthem, “My Heart is Inditing” along with some Mozart and Puccini. We have been pondering the meaning of the phrase at our rehearsals – especially with Valentine’s Day upon us. It turns out (via the font of all knowledge, Google) that to indite is to write something creative or poetic. So “My Heart is Inditing” actually means that my words are coming straight from the heart.

And on a related subject, two of our choir have recently announced their engagement and are getting married this year! They met online through a love of choral music and now both sing in the same two choirs. We can’t promise you’ll find the love of your life by coming to our next concert of course, but we can promise a friendly welcome and a wonderful evening of music that we will sing from the heart. And if you join us, you might want to see if you can work out who the lovebirds are in our choir!

Our concert is on Saturday 18th March at All Saints’ Church, Hillingdon UB10 9BT at 7:30pm. Advanced tickets have a discount – book now! More information about the concert here.
